In this article we’ll introduce you to the new monitoring profiles found in Mercell Bidding, how they work, and how to use them to find the perfect tenders to match your business.
Monitoring profiles are set up by suppliers to search for public tenders and discover new business opportunities. Your monitoring profiles are available from the Mercell Bidding landing page after you log in. If you don’t have any set up, you’ll be prompted to make one by the system.
Setting up a profile is easy and straightforward: After giving your profile a name you then start adding keywords and CPV codes in order to find the right tender for your business. We recommend using a combination of both CPV codes and keywords. You can choose how comprehensive these combinations become by using elements like brackets and “and/or” statements to further refine and specify your monitoring profiles. Remember, your monitoring profiles are not set in stone, so tinker and experiment with them until you’re satisfied with the results.
From here you can set delivery regions if you’re looking for opportunities in specific countries and regions. Your search can be very broad or highly specific, depending on your preference. You can also set which opportunity types you’re looking for, from upcoming tenders, to planned investments and tenders.
Thanks to Mercell’s powerful tools, you can quickly see how many business matches your monitoring profiles have generated. If you’re not getting the matches you’re looking for, you should tweak your profile further.
